Random Number Generator
Draw true random numbers between a min and max with the browser’s secure random source — pick a count, allow or forbid duplicates, sort the result.
What is it
A random number generator picks a value inside your range without a predictable pattern. Browsers can do this with their cryptographically secure random source, so the output is not just "looks random" — it is the same machinery used to protect passwords and payments. You decide the range, how many numbers, whether repeats are allowed, and whether the list should be sorted.
Notes & fun facts
Statisticians still argue whether humans can ever produce truly random digits — studies show people strongly prefer sequences without repeats, which is the opposite of real randomness. If you need a lottery pick, a dice roll or a fair drawing, always let the machine roll.
Origin & history
True random number generation became engineering in the 1940s: the RAND Corporation published its famous table of a million random digits in 1955, generated with an electronic roulette wheel. The browser API crypto.getRandomValues appeared around 2011–2012, making secure randomness available to any web page.
